Our workshops at The Northern Flower Garden are informative for those wanting to learn more, supportive for those wanting to have a go always relaxing if you just want to take a bit of time to yourself. I demonstrate professional floristry techniques and share the tips and tricks to help you get the best out of your designs and everything you need to complete your designs.

    Souter Lighthouse, South Tyneside

    Create a festive wreath at the iconic Souter Lighthouse.

    Learn how to moss a base and bind it with seasonal foliage, then decorate in your chosen style – from traditional and country classic, to fresh winter whites or bold pops of colour.

    With the sea air as your backdrop, this workshop blends creativity with a dash of seaside spirit. Back your wreath for a polished finish, then take home a handmade design that will brighten your festive season.

    We will be located in the Whitburn Coastal Conservation Centre beside Souter Lighthouse, not the actual Lighthouse.

    This venue is fully accessible for all visitors, with step-free access throughout.

    Make your Christmas truly special with a luxury wreath created in the historic grounds of Gibside.

    You’ll moss your base and bind it with fresh, fragrant foliage, then choose your style – go traditional, keep it country classic, stay chic with winter whites, or add festive sparkle with pops of colour.

    Inspired by Gibside’s rich landscapes and orchards, your wreath will be a unique celebration of the season. Finish it with backing and take it home to enjoy throughout the festivities.
